Quiet during. Detailed after.
Start a Quiet Run and put your phone away. A gentle recording animation offers reassurance without displaying live pace, distance, or performance numbers.
Finish to see elapsed time, distance, average pace, mile or kilometre splits, and your recorded route. Explore a smoothed pace chart and elevation profile when the recording supports them.
Choose Mile by Feel and stop when you think you’ve covered a mile. Reveal your recorded distance and see how close your estimate was. No countdown or distance nudges.
Note how it felt: Easy, Steady, or Hard. Add a private note and revisit your weeks and months in History. The reflection is optional; you can go straight to your stats.
On your wrist, too
Record on iPhone or Apple Watch. Watch workouts can save to Apple Health, and run history syncs through your private iCloud account when available.
For runs recorded on Apple Watch, available Health readings add average and peak heart rate, plus time in your own optional heart-rate zones. A heart-rate chart is available in the iPhone report.
Health access is optional on iPhone. On Watch, Workout permission supports screen-off recording. Heart-rate readings depend on permission, sensor availability, and Health syncing. Custom zones are not Apple’s automatically calculated zones.
A few useful details
Requires iOS 17 or later, or watchOS 10 or later. Location access is needed to record. Precise Location improves route and distance accuracy; Motion & Fitness enables barometric elevation on supported devices.
Distance, pace, and elevation are estimates. Missing GPS or sensor readings can leave gaps or make some report sections unavailable. Elapsed time and average pace include stops. Quiet Run is not a medical or emergency service.
